As an accredited School of Sanctuary, we pride ourselves on being a welcoming place for all and a truly safe environment. We are a school that extends a welcome to everyone as equal. We have, and will continue to work with our children, staff and wider community to understand what it means to seek sanctuary.

Three key principles to becoming a School of Sanctuary can be found below.

  • Learn what it means to be seeking sanctuary.

  • Take positive action to embed concepts of welcome, safety and inclusion within your school and the wider community.

  • Share your vision and achievements – be proud!

We are very proud to have achieved this award and will continue to provide opportunities through our curriculum to learn about key issues surrounding sanctuary such as refuge, migration, diversity and inclusion.
